HILTY'S CABINETS, INC. was established in 1981 in Wasilla, Alaska by Ruth and Lee Hilty, it was developed as and continues to be a family owned and operated entity.  During the companyís quiet beginnings it was just a small one/two man custom production shop occupying approximately 800 square feet of space operated by Lee and his oldest son Bud, while Leeís wife, Ruth and his daughter Brenda took care of the bookkeeping and office duties.  The company incorporated under the laws of the State of Alaska in 1983.  In 1985 the first employee was hired.

   While the primary production facility has always been located in Wasilla it has re-located several times due to the necessity of expansion.  The original location was on Check Street just off Knik-Goosebay Road.  In 1984 it moved its 2nd home just up Fishook Road off Dana Avenue (this increased our workspace to just over 2,500 square feet).  This location remained our home through 1987 at which time the company moved to mile 37.5 Parks Highway into what was/is known as the Pepsi Cola Building.  This location again increased production space, this time to 4,000 square feet and is where we experienced much of our early growth and expansion.  This is when the company added not only a few more employees but also several new state of the art pieces of equipment that gave us the ability to branch out into the commercial cabinetry/casework market.  This shifting of our company's focus, more toward the commercial side of production, increased our visibility with several of the larger Contractors in this arena.  The commercial side of Hilty's Cabinets, continued to be so successful that in 1995 Ruth and Lee built the 8,000 sq. ft. building Hilty's Cabinets, Inc. now occupies. 

   During the last 9 years Hilty's  has experienced a steady consistent period of growth which prompted the addition of even more technologically advanced equipment, and a Pre-Fabricated line of cabinetry.  This line of cabinetry made it possible for Hilty's to get back into the Residential ring of the industry.  Over this same time period the Countertop Division within Hilty's has also been developed producing Plastic Laminate, Solid Surface and most recently Solid Granite countertops.  All of this contributes to the ongoing success of both the Commercial and Residential facets of Hilty's Cabinets.

   2004 marks another year of change for Hilty's Cabinets, as we begin the birthing stages of manufacturing our own distinct line of Contractor Grade cabinetry.  This will, to our knowledge, be yet another first for the State of Alaska.  We will be producing line of cabinets, that are not only locally manufactured but competitively priced.  In these early stages we will have 4 of the most popular doors styles to choose from and will have the option of adding additional doors styles as the demands increase.

   Our customers have in the past responded tremendously to our growth and their support of our commitment has enabled HILTY'S CABINETS, INC. to extend and expand our operation to an even greater level.   Our entire staff shares in this vision of distinctive quality and unparalleled customer service, as we see ourselves headed for greater success in the 21st Century.
